Case Study:
Streamline Warehouse Processes with the Right Plastic Pallet

THE PROBLEM:

When a major international pharmaceutical manufacturer was looking for a pallet that could handle both cleanroom and shipping needs, AIC Plastics recommended the perfect plastic pallet for the job!

This company was looking for a way to streamline their logistics processes. At the time, they were using a mix of timber pallets for shipping and plastic pallets for their cleanroom operations. This cycle of loading and unloading timber pallets, then loading and unloading plastic pallets for their cleanroom, was time-consuming and increased labour costs.

THE SOLUTION

AIC worked with the company to help determine the key performance specifications:

  • Rackable
  • Multi-trip
  • Recyclable
  • Conveyor friendly
  • Easy-to-clean

After evaluating the company’s needs, AIC recommended a plastic pallet that would fulfil these performance specs and replace timber pallets in their supply chain.

SF800 MNR

Dimensions: 1200 x 800 x 150 mm
Weight: 11.3kg / 13.3 kg with reinforcements
Static Weight: 3000kg / 3500kg with reinforcements
Dynamic Weight: 1000 kg / 1400 kg with reinforcements\
Racking Weight: 400 kg / 800 kg with reinforcements
Colour: Black
Material: PP

Though more expensive than the timber pallets they replaced, the new pallets eliminated the constant loading and unloading, saving labour costs that more than offset the increased pallet cost.

By replacing their timber pallets with the SF800-MNR, the company reduced the time and labour required for loading and unloading pallets.

This single plastic pallet can be used throughout the storage, manufacture, and transport processes. And unlike the timber pallets it was replacing, the SF800-MNR is recyclable.
